TwoTrees Origins

Humble Beginnings..

The TwoTrees story starts with three best friends, the English countryside and a deep desire to escape into nature..

As kids we would spend our weekends building dens in our local woods, listening to music around the fire and dreaming under the stars..

Before long, our sense of adventure had taken us all across the UK, scaling the north faces of Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scafell Pike.

We took pride in our ability to show up with zero plan and always get the job done.

What we did learn, was that if we had our hammocks, we'd be alright..

Despite finishing university, we all had zero intentions of climbing the corporate ladder.

Our qualifications tied us to Yorkshire, so as soon as we were qualified, we saved up all our money and set our sights on even greater horizons!

Tropical islands in Thailand and Remote Cambodian jungles came next.

For the first time we experienced the true freedom of our hammocks.

We were travelling the world for free, sleeping wherever we wanted, waking up to the sun rising and the waves crashing..

Life was truly bliss.

Our newfound nomadic lifestyle came with a lot of spare time (mostly swinging in hammocks).

So, with our combined engineering and creative genius, we began to ponder how we could design the perfect hammock and share it with the world..

After 8 years of hammocking experience, we had already tested every product on the market.

Whether it be the quality, dimensions, materials, straps or mosquito net, the hammock market was lacking and we knew we could do better.

Six months of hammocking in the tropics taught us a lot and before long, we had our first TwoTrees prototype hammock.

The quality was second to none. It certainly was the best hammock on the market, but it wasn't quite perfect, yet..

To ensure our designs would stand the test of time, we continued travelling in the prototype hammocks..

We set our sights on Australia and after another six months we had traversed the entire East Coast..

Now we knew our hammocks are built to last, however, one final modification was needed to be ready for the official TwoTrees launch!

We returned to the UK for summer 2025 and planned our next adventure..

A week long hammock roadtrip from Lake Bled, through the Dolomites, to Lake Garda.

Here we tested our new double-layered designs which allowed for sleeping matt inserts, improving weight capacity, bug protection and insulation.

In the height of summer, we spent a week in European paradise, paid nothing for accomodation and woke up with lake views every morning..

The thing that surprises us every time is that we never see anyone else doing this!!

Travel has never been this cheap, easy and accessible..

Our hammocks are our freedom packed into a little in a bag..

So with the final designs tested, The official 'TwoTrees Ultimate hammock' was ready for launch..

After 2 years, 3 iterations, 13 countries and thousands of hours..

The perfect way to escape is finally ready..

We can't wait to see where our hammock takes you..

Jack
Jack of all trades, master of fun. With a burning passion for Mother Nature and a serious determination (sometimes delusion) to succeed, no mountain is too high for him. Definitely laced with a splash of undiagnosed ADHD, some might say this guy needs a to-do list just to get out of bed in a morning.
Leo
The OG cool dude. Fuelled by adrenaline. Known locally as the parkour pro, Leo loves spending his time outside. Whether that be swinging in the concrete jungle (in his hammock or from skyscrapers!) or living in his hammock helping communities in Cambodia. Leo lives life to the fullest and is always on the lookout for a new adventure.
Burley
High functioning autism meets engineering prowess. He really is the man for the job. What job? Doesn't matter, Burley’s your man. Definitely done it before. Everyone relaxes when Burley shows up because they know they’re in safe hands.
